I love Orienteering!

On Thursday 30th of March, my classmates and I had an Orienteering session. We had to find the right controls and clip off the number on our piece of paper. We used two maps and the big blue arrows had to face the sun, this showed us the direction of North. Our coaches were Leon and Irene. Orienteering was hard because we were all going in all sorts of directions! I had fun doing orienteering. Most of all, I liked reading the maps!

Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I record our third session of orienteering using blabberize.

Wow! I liked watching Ice Age 2!

My fantastic weekend!
During the school weekends, my sister and I watched Ice age 2 on the computer.

First, Tyrah and I discussed what we were going to watch. Then I asked if we could all watch Ice - age 2. Tyrah said, “Yes”, so we asked our older sister Charlize if she  wanted to watch with us. She said, “No thank you,” because she wanted to continue to read her book.

Next, we set up the computer, and we typed in the password, searched up the movie and clicked on a website so that we could watch it. While the movie was playing, our eyes were glued to the screen. Tyrah and I nevered blinked, we just stared because it was our first time watching the movie and we didn’t want to miss a bit of the movie, so we kept pausing it.

The movie Ice age two  is about a mammoth called Manny who is looking for his kind because his friends think that mammoths are becoming extinct . They thought that Manny is the last of the mammoths. Manny’s friends saw a lot of mammoths  walking in a group together at the end of the movie.

After the movie was finished, we were so tired. Our eyes were so sore. So we quickly splashed some water on our faces so we can stay awake. We played some cards just clear our minds. We also stacked the cards to make castles.

What My favourite part of the weekend was when my sisters and I stacked cards to make castles. We also played card games like last cards, speed and Mahiole.
I liked my short weekend!

I like the movie 'Mr Peabody and Sherman'!

                                                   In the Weekends!
During the weekend my two sisters and I watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

First I set up the computer and Tyrah my sister, turned the television on. Then we plugged the HDMI cord from the computer to the television. After everything was set, we looked for the movie that we were looking for. Before we played the movie we waited for everyone to join us first.

Mr. Peabody and Sherman is a funny and sad movie. It's about a dog named Mr Peabody and Sherman is about a dog named Mr. Peabody who wanted to adopt a a young boy named  Sherman. So, he went to talk to the judge about it because it was a little bit odd for a dog to adopt a boy. The judge asked why and the dog replied " Well, he reminded me of how I started in life, now I'm going to give him a home." The judge finally agreed to it. When Sherman got older, Mr Peabody invented a time machine. So he and Sherman could go on adventures in the past.

The moment that I liked the most from the movie was when Mr Peabody and Sherman went to France using the time machine. Sherman asked the queen if they could have some cake and she replied "May we," So Sherman asked again may we have some cake and she replied " May we." Then Sherman asked Mr Peabody "Doesn't she know what I'm saying?" That made me laugh out loud!
I liked my short weekend!

Skateboarding!

                                      Skateboarding!
On Friday, my class mates and I went skateboarding down at the bottom court.

First, we put our gear on. We unwrapped our gear and wrapped it around our knees, elbows and hands. Then we clipped on our helmets.

Next, Aiden told us that we were going to practise turning on our skateboards. It sounded easy at first, but when we saw it in action, it looked very hard. We had to turn around orange cones, without putting our foot on the ground.

We were wiggling and struggling on our skateboards. Some of us fell over but we got back up again. We had to lean on our toes and heels on our skateboard to turn around the cones.

Later on, Aiden told us to come towards them and line the skateboards along the fence because it was the end of our lesson. We wrapped our gear up and clipped it all inside our helmet.

After that, we thanked coach Aiden and Martin for teaching us skateboarding and headed back to class.

The part of the lesson that I enjoyed the most was when we turned around with our skateboards. It was fun!

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write an introduction, followed by the events and a conclusion about our skateboarding session.
