                              Duffy Theatre
L.I- we are learning to write a recount using correct punctuation.
S.C: I know I can do this when I write a recount about Duffy Theatre show using correct punctuation.

Wow! Such funny actors they were!
It's the first day back to school, we watched a play about the importance of reading. First, we sang the Duffy song then the actors introduced themselves to the audience and the characters they were going to play.

Duffy was in his bed, trying to read a book called Doctor Who. Before he could start reading, a loud music played. Then his mum came rushing in, and told Duffy that she liked that song. Duffy said nothing and tried to ignore the loud music.

After that, Duffy jumped out off his bed and went to visit Ruby, his neighbour. Duffy found Ruby watching cricket on TV in their living room. He asked if she had any books to read. Ruby said, "no". Then he asked if she went to school and if she knows how to read. Again, she said, "no".

Duffy wanted to know what was going on but Ruby crossed her arms. It means she didn't want to talk about it. Ruby was sad and upset because her father died in World War two when she was young. Duffy was surprised and felt sorry for Ruby.

He wished that he could help Ruby. Then an idea came into his mind. He can help Ruby by travelling back through time and save Ruby's dad. He had to bring him back alive.

He travelled in an amazing time machine. When Duffy
stopped the time machine, he met a ninja and they became friends. When it was time to leave, the ninja gave him a mask and a robe. Duffy thanked the ninja and continued on his journey.

Then Duffy was at the right place. He saw Sunny, but suddenly, a bullet sound came on, and Duffy and Sunny fell to the ground. A doctor brought Sunny to the hospital and fixed his leg.

When it was time to go home, the time machine stopped itself. Then he saw himself being all grown up. They both said,  "hello", but were confused because there names were both Duffy. Then Duffy asked if he can help to get home to 2016. He said, "yes". They pulled and pushed, pulled and pushed....

Finally, before Duffy could go home, we all said good-bye to grown up Duffy. Lastly, the Duffy people said thank you for watching their play.

My favourite part is when the loud music came on. It was really funny and surprising. Such a great show to watch!

How do cats show their feelings?
Cats have many ways of showing their feelings.

Learning Intention- We are learning to write an explanation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I can write a question mark in the heading, an introduction to tell about the topic, and series of points telling how and why.

When cats are happy they purr when they're sleepy. They sit quietly when they get themselves warm. They smooch you when you give them delicious food to eat. They roll over to get there tummy tickled.

When cats are angry they hiss because the baby pulls their tail. They growl because they're fighting with another cat. They fluff themselves up to make them big so that the other cat would run away. Cats give warning don't come near me or else they will scratch you by twitching their tail.

Kittens are the cutest animal I have ever seen.
