  1. Kia ora Roneeza,

It is nice to have you on board the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done the programme before? I am super excited to be able to work with the Manaiakalani cluster this year. This is my second year with the SLJ team and last year I looked after the Kaikohekohe cluster. I did get to pop on over to the Manaiakalani cluster and was amazed by the quality, creativity and fun through blog posts. So I’m really looking forward to reading over some more posts!

I love the pepeha activity, do you love it? I believe it is so important to know where you are from and who you are (identity). I am also from Auckland. Aren’t we lucky to live in such a beautiful region, surrounded by the city and beaches.

I really love your work that you have created so far Roneeza. I can’t wait to read more of your blog posts, keep them coming!

    Cheers,
    Georgia

    1. Talofa, Georgia! I haven't done the Summer Learning Journey before, but I have seen others participate and receive prizes through out the last 7 years I've been in St Patrick's School! This year is the first time I will be participating and I hope I get the top prize. I do love the pepeha activity and also agree how it is important to get to know yourself and others. Thank you for commenting on my work, I'll be sure to work even harder so that my work can draw others to them like how children are drawn to junk food.
      Kind Regards, Roneeza.

  2. Wow, for someone who hasn't completed the programme before, you are doing such a great job.

Yes the prizes are definitely worth doing the programme.
It's also nice coming back to school and not struggling as much with school work. It's actually the same for me too.
Over the summer in my first year, I didn't work or do any reading. I came back into my second year struggling more than usual. After doing this programme where I get to read your blogs and reply which is reading & writing, I find that I go back to University confident and understanding the content better.
