The Treasure Code

In this activity, I learnt how to write, decipher and indecipher pigpen code. I found it difficult trying to memorize the patterns so that I may be able to use it later on.  I really enjoyed creating my own code, especially since I've been to plenty of beaches during my trip up north with my family 2 weeks ago.

Please comment down below your answer :) Happy Celebrating Summer everyone!

  1. Ata mārie Roneeza,

Fiona here from the SLJ team. Great work completing the treasure code activity and writing your very own cryptic message using pigpen cipher. I'm so glad that you enjoyed this activity.

I think I worked out your message... is it Ninety Mile beach? I've seen pictures of this beach and it looks absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad that you have been able to visit many beautiful beaches up north with your family this summer. Do you have a favourite beach that you can recommend I visit one day? I go up north with my family too, but all we seem to do is go fishing! The beaches I've been to are really rocky and full of oysters, so we can't swim because we cut our feet on the shells.

    Keep up the great work!

    Ka kite anō,

    Fiona (SLJ).

    1. Hi Fiona,
Thank you for commenting on my post and successfully breaking my code. Ninety-Mile beach is my absolute favourite beach now, so if you haven't been there already, I really hope this would be the first beach you'd hope to go visit the next time you go up north with your family. My mum did mention something about going fishing as a family while we were organising for the trip, but we never got around to it. We mostly went site-seeing and swam heaps.
      Kind regards,
      Roneeza
